Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan. Untuk menuju lokasi, kamu bisa menempuh kurang lebih 2,5 jam atau kira-kira 30 km perjalanan dengan kendaraan bermotor dari Kota Malang menuju pantai Sendang Biru.
Keberadaan Pulau Sempu mungkin belum dikenal layaknya tempat wisata lain yang ada di Jawa Timur. Tapi, keindahan dan kecantikan pulau ini wajib buat dinikmati, kawan. Untuk menuju pulau ini, kita harus menggunakan perahu dari Pantai Sendang Biru dengan sewa perahu Rp 100.000/pulang-pergi, yang akan mengantar kita menyebrangi Pantai Sendang Biru menuju Pulau Sempu. Nah, tiap perahunya bisa diisi satu sampai sepuluh orang.
Eitss, tapi tunggu dulu. Untuk memasuki kawasan Pulau Sempu, harus mengantongi izin dari petugas setempat. Dikarenakan status pulau ini yang merupakan kawasan cagar alam. Selama kurang lebih 15 menit, perahu akan bersandar di titik pemberhentian yang bernama Teluk Semut. Nah, dari teluk ini petualangan menuju Pulau Sempu baru akan dimulai.
Yap, jalan kaki atau Trekking selama kurang lebih dua jam membelah hutan dengan menyusuri jalan setapak merupakan cara yang harus ditempuh untuk sampai menuju laguna Segara Anakan. Ada baiknya, berkunjung ke Pulau Sempu saat musim kemarau. Karena perjalanan akan lebih mudah, nggak becek dan nggak licin. Perjalanan akan terasa liar dengan ditemani suara hewan liar serta 80 jenis spesies burung yang dilindungi yang hidup di dalam kawasan hutan. Kalau beruntung, kamu bisa menemukan jejak kaki macan tutul, lho. Wih,takut apa senang ya, hehe.
Tapi, perjalanan kamu nggak bakal sia-sia. Kenapa, karena bakal terbayar puas saat kaki bermain air dan menginjak pasir putih Segara Anakan. Ditambah udaranya yang masih bersih dan segar serta pemandangan karang yang menjulang tinggi diiringi deburan ombak laut selatan yang memecah dinding karang, menambah eksotis laguna ini, wow.
Jangan khawatir untuk bermalam disini. Menjelang malam, sedikit berbaring menatap langit sambil menyaksikan jutaan bintang yang memancar di langit Pulau Sempu akan menemani menghabiskan malam kamu, asik.
